Quick answers
Is TrachTracker free?
TrachTracker is currently free to use during the private beta period. After beta, we plan to offer a free tier with core features, with an optional paid plan for caregivers who want more. Nothing about pricing will change without advance notice.
What is a private beta?
A private beta means TrachTracker is still being built and refined. We are working with a small group of caregivers to make sure the app works the way it should before opening it more widely. During this period, access requires an application.
Do I need to be a nurse or healthcare professional to use this?
No. TrachTracker is designed for home caregivers, parents, and family members, not clinical professionals. No medical training or background is needed.
What supplies can I track?
You can track any supply item your patient uses. TrachTracker includes a starter template with common pediatric trach supplies, but you can add, remove, or rename items to match your patient's specific setup.
Can I track supplies for more than one patient?
Yes. TrachTracker supports multiple patients under one account. Each patient's inventory is kept separate, so you can manage care for more than one person without things getting mixed up.
How does the "days remaining" calculation work?
You enter the quantity you have on hand and your average daily usage for each supply item. TrachTracker divides quantity by daily usage to give you a days-remaining count. This number updates whenever you change a quantity or usage rate. Items without a usage rate entered are excluded from the calculation.
How does TrachTracker decide something is "low stock"?
By default, an item is flagged as low when you have 7 days of supply or fewer remaining. You can change this threshold for any item, for example setting a higher threshold for items that take longer to reorder.
Does TrachTracker send notifications or reminders?
Not yet. In the current version, all low-stock indicators are visible inside the app when you open it. Push notifications and email alerts are planned for a future version.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your account has access only to the data you create. Other users cannot see your patients or your inventory. TrachTracker does not share your information with third parties.
Is TrachTracker HIPAA-compliant?
No. TrachTracker is a personal organizational tool, not a medical records system. It is not designed or certified for the storage of protected health information. Please do not use it to store information that requires HIPAA-level protection.
Does TrachTracker connect to my insurance company, supplier, or healthcare provider?
No. TrachTracker is a standalone organizational tool. It does not connect to any external system, place orders, or communicate with any third party on your behalf.
What devices does TrachTracker work on?
TrachTracker is a web-based app designed to work on phones, tablets, and desktop browsers. No app download is required. It was built mobile-first.
What happens to my data if TrachTracker shuts down or changes?
We take data stewardship seriously. If there are ever significant changes to how TrachTracker operates, we will notify users in advance. We are committed to giving users enough time and information to export or migrate their data.
I found a bug or something is not working. How do I report it?
During the beta period, you can reach us at [email protected]. Please include a description of what happened, what you expected to happen, and what device and browser you were using.
Troubleshooting
Can't log in
- •Use the same email you signed up with
- •Try "Forgot Password" on the login page and check spam if the reset email does not arrive
- •Try an incognito or private browser window
- •Write to [email protected] with your email address if none of the above works
My inventory is not saving
- •Refresh the page after saving because some changes may need a manual refresh
- •Log out and back in to clear any session issues
- •Check your internet connection
- •Try a different browser
The days-remaining number looks wrong
- •Check that quantity on hand is current and up to date
- •Check that a daily usage rate is entered because items without one will not show a number
- •Make sure quantity and usage rate are in the same unit, for example both in pieces and not one in pieces and one in boxes
A low-stock flag appeared but I have plenty
- •The flag is based on days remaining, not quantity. Check the days-remaining number directly.
- •Your daily usage rate may be set higher than your actual usage, so adjust it
- •Your quantity may not have been updated after your last delivery
